Safe and Stable

Our fiver came with a broken king pin stabilizer. It was beyond repair, but parts were still good so I decided to make my own version of Valterra’s new RV Stabilizer.

I bolted two of the legs to the centre of the rear bumper, and ran a strap tie-down between them. Tightening the tie-down removes a great deal of the side to side motion. To travel the strap goes over the top, pulling the legs up to the bumper.

Then I cut of the king-pin cup and added a lock to keep anyone from running off with our rig when we are out and about in the truck.
