Central Texas is, rightly, known for its wildflowers. But other states can give a great show too.

The red flowers in the foreground are clover. Individually they are not impressive, but in large groups they are spectacular. The yellow flowers in the background are everywhere.

You can also see the receeding flood waters here in Mississipi. The table in the image below is not usually partly in the water!
