Devil’s Tower

We have driven within an hour of Devil’s Tower three times without making a visit, so this time we made sure we to do it.

The tower is impressive from a distance.

And even more impressive as you get closer.

Jackie tried to stage what she called a “mass prison break” when she found some of “her people” at the local tourist shop. We assured her they would all find good homes soon and she backed down…. we think.

Niagara Falls

A couple of weeks ago we realised we were going to be fairly close to Niagra Falls. Driving to Detroit on the north of Lake Erie rather than the south side would add about an hour to our trip, so we went for it.

Pictures can’t do it justice, but here are a few to whet your appetite for this marvellous sight.

And as a bonus, we snagged a cache in Ontario – our second Canadian province.

All Chocolate, All The Time

We were going near Hershey, Pennsylvania, so we decided to check it out.

It’s chocolate world, compleat with a factory tour, a theme park, and a lot of retail space.

We ate lunch there, and the potato chips, pretzels, and the Kaiser roll for my sandwich all had chocolate sprinkled on them.
